Day Two, Clatskanie, OR to Portland, OR

Round Two covered more of the Columbia River and it's turn south toward Portland.  Leaving Clatskanie at 7:30 meant a cool ride for a while, starting through some heavily wooded forests.

But by 10:30 and 11:00 the road opened and the sun began baking the pavement.  It was 90 in St. Helens, OR and close to 92 in Portland upon arrival.  The good news was a steady tailwind for most of the ride, but the downside was the relentless sun.  If this keeps up, I may have to "fast forward" to some cooler air via Amtrak or Greyhound : )
